What
We
Do

BTS Child Development Foundation Collaborates with Agencies & Organizations & Partners with Individual Professionals to Ensure Impact.

Community Project

Koluedor Community Library

We launched a community library project for the Koluedor community and neighboring areas. Around 5,000 books were donated for the project, with Books For Africa being our primary partner in this endeavor. The Catholic Church generously provided the space for the library.

School Project

Koluedor R/C Basic Library

When we met with the head of Koluedor R/C Basic School, he expressed the need for assistance in acquiring books for their school library. In response, our organization, BTS, contacted the Rotary Club in Tema for support. The Rotary Club, Tema generously donated 1,200 books to contribute to the enhancement of the school library.

School Project

Child Sexual Abuse Program

In our efforts to address the issue of child sexual abuse, we organized a series of comprehensive workshops and forums specifically tailored for the teachers of the primary schools located within our target communities. These sessions aimed to provide in-depth training and education on recognizing, preventing, and responding to instances of child sexual abuse, ensuring that the educators were equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to safeguard the well-being of their students.

Community Project

Health Screening

Medical and dental screening programs were held for the pupils, teachers of Koluedor R/C Basic School, and members of the community. Additionally, a breast cancer screening exercise was organized in collaboration with the Girls Education Enhancement Project and the Breasted One Foundation at the L & A Memorial School, a community school in Gbawe, a suburb of Accra.

School Project

Academic Excellence Award

We hosted an Academic Excellence Awards ceremony for the Koluedor R/C Basic Schools. 53 pupils were honored for their outstanding academic performance and consistent visits to the community library.

Community Project

Surgical Intervention

During our Academic excellence awards, we noticed that one of our awardees had a huge lump on the right side of her forehead. BTS therefore arranged for a free medical examination and surgery for the young lady. The Graft Foundation did the surgery at no cost, BTS took care of other costs.

Anita is now a very confident and happy young lady because, as she tells us, the taunts and name-calling from her friends have ceased. Upcoming Projects

OCOS Project

During our engagements with the schools in the communities, we noticed that most of the children go to school barefoot. We, therefore, embarked on a drive to provide shoes for them. BTS donated the first batch of 250-foot shoes to children in the Koluedor and Shalom communities in the Ada West District.

The project continues as BTS Child Development Foundation plans to raise funds to donate 1000 shoes to children in the above-mentioned communities.

Sanitary for the Girl Child

BTS Child Development Foundation is committed to supporting young girls in JHS 2 by providing 500 sanitary pads over the next two years. Menstruation should never be a barrier to education, yet many girls miss crucial contact hours due to a lack of access to sanitary products.

By donating, you’ll help ensure these girls stay in school, maintain their dignity, and focus on their future without the fear of missing classes during their menses. Together, we can make a lasting impact on their education and empowerment.

Celebral Palsy Project

BTS Child Development Foundation is dedicated to educating communities about cerebral palsy, a condition that affects movement and muscle coordination. Many families and individuals lack the knowledge and resources to properly care for those living with cerebral palsy.

Through workshops, community outreach, and educational materials, we aim to break the stigma, promote understanding, and empower caregivers with the tools they need to improve the quality of life for those affected. Your support will help us foster inclusion and ensure no one is left behind.
